Among other Koden echo sounders based on the Koden Digital Filtering (KDF™) technology (offering good capability of search range, low noise and high resolution), the new 3kW sounder has 12.1 inch XGA TFT display and simultaneous four frequency operation and display.

It also has the Koden standard Sona-Tone™ feature - a sound alarm for fish detection.

This innovative sounder is equipped with the capability of selecting an optional four frequencies out of the range of broadband transducer (two types available: TDM-052 38kHz to 75kHz / 130kHz to 210kHz and TDM-062 38kHz to 75kHz / 85kHz to 135kHz, and another type in development: 28kHz to 60kHz / 130kHz to 210kHz). This feature provides the user with the possibility of fine tuning for spotting types of fish.

Flexible selection of frequency by 0.1kHz enables the user to stay away from interference with the sounders on other vessels.

Settings such as frequency, pulse width and band width, and also gain, range and shift for screen display can be set individually and stored in the Condition Memory (up to six sets). The user can recall each setting very quickly by simply pushing a “CM” button. Storage is not only for such settings, but also for 500 screen shots the user can review.

The TFT display, free from condensation, provides the screen image in dual frequency, triple frequency or quad frequency, with either horizontal or vertical split. This anti-glare display shows the important information clearly even under sunlight.

In addition, optional expandability including homing navigation and heaving compensation will make this sounder versatile for professionals, as if having multiple sounders onboard. Also offered is a connection with CCD camera and an external monitor for more convenience and comprehensive graphic presentation.
