Cleaning underneath a vertical plate freezer has always been a tough manual job and a critically important issue for hygiene in the food industry.
DSI has, in association with the Denmark/USA based System Cleaners®, developed a solution to these problems - an automatic cleaner that has been successfully tested on a vertical plate freezer at Saeby Fiskeindustri, one of Europe’s largest mackerel canning companies.
Two nozzle bars mounted underneath the vertical plate freezer are connected to a PLC controlled 25 bar water pump and foam station.
The freezer is cleaned in a two-step operation, which begins with the push of a button.
