The HD825 digital system updates Wesmar’s HD800 and SS395 sonars, with fast speed and many new features, and according to Wesmar is more powerful than its predecessors, and includes features such as high-quality resolution, bright sharp target colours and graphics.

A new linear display unwraps the bottom for better view of fish and bottom hardness, helping to spot fish at a distance and close to the bottom.

There are no menus to scroll when tracking the fish so the users’ eyes stay on the fish. Changes to range, sector, bearing and tilt are immediate because each has its own separate control. The system’s blackfin internal computer is the same powerful processor used in Wesmar’s high-end HD850 sonar.

A quick reverse button on the console activates a fast backtrack feature so the sonar operator can quickly access the previous screen to better access the information.

The fast new HD825 has four screens of operation: full screen sonar; split screen sonar/profile; split screen linear scan/profile; and full screen sounder. The system is available in three models (160kHz, 110kHz, and 60kHz) with the option of either a lead screw or hydraulic hoist.
