Hawco, an international controls and refrigeration engineering service provider and distributor, has directly assisted many companies in developing hydrocarbon refrigeration systems that reduce energy consumption and carbon footprint.

Hydrocarbon refrigerants are completely 'natural', and such systems as the ones developed by leading manufactures and Hawco, are rapidly catching conventional cooling systems because they cause no damage to the ozone layer, have virtually 0 GWP (global warming potential) and can also demonstrate outstanding energy savings and improved performance.

"Hawco has recognised that these engineering solutions have not only environmental benefits, but combined with the use of advanced components, increase system performance and operating life of mechanical components even further, again reducing energy and maintenance cost for our customers," said Gary Bennett, Hawco Managing Director.

System components supplied by Hawco include the compressor, condenser, all line components and advanced electronic controllers to optimise the system.

Natural refrigerants are by nature less aggressive and minimise the level of noise emanating from the refrigeration system as well as reducing the day-to-day wear and tear on the compressors and so extending its life span.
