“We are absolutely delighted to have been awarded this contract,” says Mark Hewish, Globavista’s Managing Director. “Through our predecessor companies Racal and BlueFinger, we have provided vessel monitoring and fish catch reporting services to the UK government since 1995, but it is particularly gratifying to win this new contract in such a competitive market.”

As well as now working with the UK government and its devolved administrations, Globavista also provides VMS services to other countries and regulatory authorities throughout the world in order to help protect and preserve their fish stocks by ensuring compliance with quotas and exclusion zones. However, Mark Hewish has indicated that under no circumstances will the company be resting on its laurels.

“The award of this contract has helped drive us on to continue to develop products that genuinely lead the way in both reliability and innovation,” he says. “However, we also remain very much people-focused, ensuring that all our clients receive from us a level of service that is second to none.”
