France Telecom Mobile Satellite Communications has presented its new services developed for its free maritime software package, SkyFile.
Designed to optimise the transfer of data in e-mail, SMS or fax format via Inmarsat and Iridium terminals. Features include an e-fax service, an onboard credit and invoicing system and improved throughput, as well as security solutions such as SPAM filters and black & white lists. These have been designed to facilitate the flow of information from and to the ship and enable users to save time and money whilst guaranteeing the highest security levels.
France Telecom Mobile Satellite Communications has also launched its new Scratch & Phone Opti-time+ offer, a single card which combines the key benefits of crew calling solutions on all Inmarsat voice standards (Inmarsat-Fleet, -Mini M, -B and -M). Opti-time+ allows users to make calls at 0.99$ from 7pm to 7am UTC on weekdays and all weekend. Information will also be available regarding the new 128 Kbps ISDN service on Fleet 77 terminals.
