Echomaster at Fishing 2009

New to the UK are the Flexible Frequency 10" and 15" LCD Echosounders from Hondex, combination 8" LCD GPS/Chartplotter/Echosounder from Fuso and the new MOB Dolphin system from Alltek. Also on show will be the all-new Lowrance Broadband Radar and Wavecheetah 2 Electronic Scales from Nesco.

The Hondex flexible frequency Echosounders are designed to connect to a vessel's existing working transducer. Any transducer with a frequency between 28 to 200kHz can be used. Hondex have also designed their new sounders to work with high performance Simrad transducers.

Echomaster will re-introduce Fuso products to the UK market at Fishing 2009 and will demonstrate the new FEG-881 8" colour LCD GPS/Chartplotter/Echosounder. With everything including transducer, antenna, mounting brackets and cables in the box, the Fuso FEG-881 is ideal for owners wishing to carry out their own installation.

Stay “alert today, alive tomorrow” with the new MOB Dolphin wireless electronic system designed to aid crew safety. The Dolphin system alerts other crew members someone is in distress via an extra-loud hailer and through compatible AIS devices.

Echomaster will also demonstrate the Simrad FS70 Trawl Sonar. Recent installations include the new "Quantas" built for Ian and Mark Buchan, Lunar Fishing's new "Lunar Bow", George Nicol's "Krossfjord" and Bobby Polson's replacement for "Serene". Designed to operate with the new generation of trawl sensors from Simrad, the FS70 can interface to six Catch Sensors, incorporates a powerful 200Khz. echosounder and pitch and roll features.

Simrad has developed new features for its very successful SX Sonar series. The SX90 is a low frequency, high definition long range Sonar which uses two high-performance computers to process data, making it the most powerful professional sonar in the market today. New developments include authentic audio reproduction and enhanced noise filtering. Also from Simrad and on show will be the company's PI trawl system, which has been very popular with Scottish pair seiners.

Echomaster will also demonstrate the versatile and successful Simrad ES60 echosounder along with Olex, the UK's top selling 3D Seabed Mapping System. As the leading Olex supplier in the UK, Echomaster has a long tradition and expertise of supplying the ES60/Olex combination for customers wishing to map ground hardness.
