Tucal has recently completed a turnkey refrigeration installation in Portugal, along with several other projects
The Portuguese installation included two vertical plate freezers with a total capacity of 19t/24 hours, along with the refrigeration equipment required for servicing these freezers and a brine tank, with a total refrigeration capacity of 260kW.
The condensing unit was pre-assembled at Tucal’s facilities, giving the advantage of a very fast, cheaper and secure installation on site, the company tells World Fishing & Aquaculture.
Also in collaboration with a Portuguese company, Tucal has supplied two RSW units, each one of them with a capacity of 200kW, for service onboard fishing vessels. The second one of them, currently under construction, can be easily dismantled for its introduction inside the vessel.
Horizontal plate freezers have been sent to France, Russia and for diverse customers in Spain. In this sense, Tucal was able to add options to the equipment sent to a processor in the South of Spain for the freezing of cephalopods - where Tucal has not only manufactured the freezers, but also the required freezing trays, pneumatic ejector and trolleys for the trays. All of this made of stainless steel and with the dimensions given by the customer.
Two vertical plate freezers with automatic unloading system were also sent to Colombia in August.
