Norwegian Maritime Equipment AS, a strong Norwegian supplier of offshore and maritime equipment, has developed a new, complete programme of lifeboats and rescue boats. The programme is currently on the market under the brand name NorMar, and embraces a full range of enclosed lifeboats, free-fall lifeboats, semi-enclosed lifeboats and rescue boats.
Enclosed lifeboats
The size varies from 5.0m to 9.35m. and capacity from 22 to 102 people. These boats come in cargo as well as tanker versions, with a standard propulsion Bukh diesel and other engine makers are optional.
Free-fall lifeboats
Sizes for the free-fall lifeboats are from 4.9m to 8.5m and capacities from 19 to 48 persons. The drop height can be as much as 25m. The free-fall lifeboats come in both cargo and tanker versions. The programme also includes semi-enclosed lifeboats with capacity from 45 to 150 persons, and corresponding lengths from 7.5m to 9.6m. In both, the standard engine is Bukh and others makers can be supplied.
Rescue boats
NorMar's range of rescue boats consists of a number of versions with capacity from six to 15 persons and lengths from 4.25m to 7.5m. The rescue boats are equipped with either outboard motors or inboard waterjet engines. Regardless of type and size, all boats are delivered with BV-EC certificates.
