One of the most visible changes to the VIKING product line-up at this year’s IceFish is the new High Visibility Yellow GORE-TEX® immersion and constant wear suits, and lifejackets.
The new, strikingly bright outer material is aimed at making the chances of being noticed in even the most difficult sea conditions better than ever. Products on display include:
VIKING PU coated nylon immersion suits
The PS5002 immersion suit with built-in buoyancy (approved without a lifejacket) will be on show at the exhibition. It is specially designed to comply with the latest SOLAS requirements and maximise protection against hypothermia and cold shock. Adjustable braces inside the suit make it easy to make height adjustments. This immersion suit is provided with loose gloves attached to a girth at each wristlet, buddy line, light and whistle, and is approved according to 96/98/EC SOLAS.
VIKING solid SOLAS lifejackets
Also showcased is the PV9520 rigid 140N SOLAS lifejacket that raises the standards for personal safety. Made of three sections to minimise storage space without compromising safety features, it offers an exceptional lifejacket design with extraordinary turning capabilities and high face freeboard. PV9520 features low profile front panels for increased mobility and better orientation and a back panel for comfortable fit and easy donning and doffing. Comes with whistle, buddy line, crotch strap and lifting strap. It is prepared for light, attached or integrated (optional) and approved according to 96/98/EC and MSC-48(66, MSC-207(81) and MSC-226(82) compliant.
VIKING SOLAS liferafts
VIKING liferafts are designed and constructed to be durable and are expected to last more than 20 years. Built exclusively from quality materials and proven to withstand extreme conditions, VIKING liferafts are packed in sturdy fibre glass containers with a special VIKING sealing method for durability and resistance to water ingress. They come in a standard and a self-righting version in sizes from four persons and up.
