Tougher port controls to target illegal fishing in the Mediterranean
The FAO-established General Fisheries Commission for the Mediterranean (GFCM) has approved a new region-wide scheme for stronger ''port State'' controls targeting illegal, unreported and underreported (IUU) fishing.
