Mercator Media Ltd. organisers of High Energy Mariculture recently took the Offshore Mariculture Conference to Asia for the first time.
The sister conference to High Energy Mariculture, enjoyed its 8th edition at the Marina Mandarin, Singapore from 15th to 17th May. 130 delegates from 25 countries listened to expert presentations on the entire production chain.
Special attention was paid to process involved in setting up offshore operations, such as zoning, licencing and site selection. The advanced nature of the European industry, will negate the need to cover these processes in such detail in Corfu and instead presentations will highlight ways to maximise productivity and efficiency.
One thing is sure, following the success of OMC Asia, HEM is set to attract another crowd of industry experts ranging from governments, to specialist associations, to hatchery owners, farmers providers and processors, to wholesalers and distributors.
