The vessel is an Auto-longliner for Stakkavík ehf, Iceland, and is Seigla’s new design based on former design Saga K, Seigur 1500XW. The overall length is 14.8m, the largest under-15m vessel in Iceland. The vessel will also be 5.7m wide and the fish hold will be 47m3. With a different design there a possibility to increase the volume of the fishing hold up to 57m3.
On the working deck Óli á Stað will be equipped with an Auto longline system, 22,000 hooks and hauler from Mustad. The washing and bleeding system will be installed by Beitir.
The engine room will be installed with 911 hp Yanmar engine and two 32kW Northern Light generators. There will be an Ice Machine K4 from Kæling and the bow and stern will be installed with 500mm bowthruster from Sleipner. On the upper deck there will be a crane installed with remote control from Amco Veba.
The wheel house will be installed with all the finest navigation equipment from Sónar ehf, and the autopilot will be installed from Simrad. For the captain, a fine leather chair from Cleeman will be installed. The searchlight is 575W Metal Halid from Francis Searchlight.
Accommodation consists of four cabins with two beds in each, and closet and bench. Below the wheelhouse there will be kitchen including mess and all luxuries. There will also be a TV lounge with nice leather benches. In the front of the boat will be room for a shower and laundry room. All woodworks in the accommodation are installed by Heidgud Byggir. All lights inside the accommodation and wheel house are installed with marine lights from Quick Nautical Equipment.
Every detail of the vessel is vacuum infused with core - the advantages of a Vacuum Infused Sandwich vessel over a single skin hand lay-up are that the vessel is stronger, lighter, more stable and better insulated.
