Corfu Sea Farm to host the inaugural HEM technical visits.

An integral part of the OMC and HEM conferences is the technical visits on day 3. Following the ever-popular technical visits at previous editions of the conference which included:

  • In Mexico (2017) to a Tuna and Striped Sea Bass processing facility, a boat tour to an offshore facility and a tour of Ocean Baja Labs Yellow Tail Hatchery; and,
  • In Singapore (2018) to the Agri-Food & Veterinary Authority of Singapore – Marine Aquaculture Centre Hatchery and the Barramundi Asia farm in Singapore.

In Corfu attendees will be able to visit the farm and packaging facility of Corfu Sea Farm, one of the region’s leading Sea Bass and Sea Bream exporters, producing 500 tons per year. Full tour details will be released in due course.

HEM is the only mariculture conference which provides an opportunity to see first-hand how a local producer operates – extending the learning away from the conference venue and allowing additional networking between attendees.
