The finalists for the international award will travel to London for the ceremony on 25 February 2026

The awards, organised by the National Federation of Fish Friers (NFFF), recognise top-performing businesses both in the UK and abroad. Judges assess entrants on sourcing, environmental and business sustainability, operational standards, and the authenticity of the British fish and chip experience.

The 2026 international finalists are:

Iceland

• Fish & Chips Lake Mývatn

• Issi Fish & Chips, Reykjanesbær

The Netherlands

• Beryl’s Fish & Chips & Veggies, Deventer

NFFF President Andrew Crook said the international category continues to demonstrate the global appetite for traditional British fish and chips.

“When it’s a chippy from overseas, it’s another reminder of the special, cross-cultural appeal of fish and chips. Great food transcends borders, languages and generations,” he said. “It’s a privilege to support these businesses as they continue to grow.”

Last year’s winners – Fez & Cip in Brunei – said the recognition was transformative, boosting demand and helping secure a second outlet set to open in 2026.

“Winning the award made our year… our business boomed,” said owners Khairul Zainal and Norlein. “Even being in the top three will already make waves in the industry.”

The finalists will travel to London for the awards ceremony on 25 February 2026, held at the Park Plaza Westminster Bridge, where the winner will be announced before an audience of hundreds of industry representatives.
