Moritz Konz, Sustainability Manager Fish and Seafood at the ALDI SOUTH Group, has joined the board of directors at the Global Seafood Alliance (GSA).

According to GSA, Konz brings a wealth of experience in responsible seafood sourcing and supply chain management to the organisation, further strengthening its mission to advance responsible seafood practices worldwide.
Konz has worked in seafood for a decade and oversees responsible sourcing for fresh, frozen, chilled and canned seafood across 11 ALDI markets. His role spans certification, supply chain management, human rights and sustainability, ensuring that complex global supply chains meet high standards.
Through his leadership, the ALDI SOUTH Group has advanced its commitments to responsible sourcing and transparency, helping to make certified seafood accessible to consumers across the globe.
“Moritz’s perspective as a retailer and his depth of knowledge of corporate responsibility in the seafood sector will be invaluable to GSA,” GSA CEO Mike Kocsis said. “His dedication to advancing responsible practices aligns perfectly with our mission.”

The GSA board comprises stakeholders from across the value chain. It provides oversight and strategic guidance as GSA works to advance responsible seafood practices through its certification programs and education and advocacy efforts.
