At Pacific Marine Expo this year Integrated Marine Systems (IMS) unveiled a new refrigeration product.

This US company, based in Washington State, says it has a tradition of only bringing new products to the marketplace when it has a new and innovative way of substantially improving on how equipment is being designed, or when the company comes up with an entirely new way of solving a problem.
The company creates products that serve a variety of needs, but share the characteristics of simplicity, ease of operation and dependability based on superior engineering and longer-lasting components.
First known for its HydroChillers and self-contained Plug & Play RSW systems, IMS has been working to improve quality for the industry since 1989.The IMS FastFreeze portable production tunnel freezer, now a proven performer with Alaska and West Coast processors, was the last new offering from the company.
At the November Seattle show, the IMS FastChill prototype slurry ice machine was unveiled, joining the IMS family of products for the commercial fishing and seafood processing industry.
After many conversations with customers and extensive research, IMS developed a slurry ice machine design that avoids the traditional mechanical problems that existing slurry ice machines may exhibit. Several customers have agreed to install the new FastChill machine at their locations.
he FastChill slurry ice machine delivers fluid, tiny ice crystals where needed, when needed. Slurry ice chills faster than conventional ice, penetrating every crevice quickly and evenly, without the bruising that can be caused by other types of ice. The result is a superior product that can be delivered with pride to increasingly discerning consumers.
“We’re excited about bringing this new slurry ice machine to the marketplace,” says Greg Sangster, Marketing & Sales Director. “The output is consistently high quality…which makes a huge difference in the quality of the seafood that producers can deliver.”
