Kinarca participated in the construction of the most ecological, efficient freezing trawler with greater freezing capacity for the Falkland Islands.
On October 17, the handing-over ceremony of the Argos Cies freezer trawler to the ship-owner Armadora Pereira and Argos Group was held in the port of Marín.
Today it is the largest trawler built for the Falkland Islands. Its length is 75 meters, its beam - 14 m.
The trawler is equipped with modern technology designed to optimize its work in South American waters, which will mainly be devoted to fishing Patagonian squid.
The Spanish company KINARCA was responsible for the refrigeration equipment. KINARCA was engaged in its design, supply and installation.
As the primary refrigerant NH3 is used in a very small amount and Tyfoxit is the secondary refrigerant, the main refrigeration unit meets the highest safety standards and achieves best energy performance and COP.
In the machine room, three identical, independent cooling groups were installed, two of which are necessary for the operation of tunnels and plates freezers, and one of which for the fish holds at -25 ºC. The whole refrigeration installation will be controlled by the main control panel which was designed and development by Kinarca for this trawler.
The work of provision storerooms for fish products and fresh products is served by the Kinarca refrigeration unit, which automatically maintains a temperature in the storerooms of -20 ºC for the former and 0 ºC for the latter.
