At 7pm tonight, Abel Caballero, Mayor of Vigo and President of the Organising Committee of the World Fishing Exhibition - Vigo''09 and Alfonso Paz-Andrade, President of the Executive Committee, will launch the 2009 exhibition.
The presentation will take place at the Estación Marítima de Vigo and the First Aqua Farming International exhibition (AQA 2009) will be presented in parallel.
Vigo'09 will be held from 16-19 September 2009 at the José Nogueira Dalmás (IFEVI) exhibition centre.
The event will be attended by the Spanish Minister of the Environment and Rural and Marine Affairs, Elena Espinosa; the Minister of Fisheries and Maritime Affairs in the Galician Regional Government, Carmen Gallego; the President and the Director General of Caixagalicia, Mauro Varela and José Luis Méndez respectively; the President of the Port Authority of Vigo, Jesús Paz; the President of the Council of La Coruña, Salvador Fernández Moreda; the President of IGAPE, Álvaro Álvarez Blázquez; the President of the Chamber of Commerce of Vigo, José García Costas and the President of the Confederación de Empresarios de la Provincia de Pontevedra (Confederation of Entrepreneurs in Pontevedra), José Manuel Fernández Alvariño, as well as by a great number of authorities and Galician entrepreneurs.
