Trawlmaster

Managing the office is Leonardo Mourelle H'dez. Mr Mourelle has over 30 years experience as a trawler captain on groundfish and factory freezer vessels. One of the last ships he captained was a 330ft factory freezer trawler built in Vigo. Being a captain, Mr Mourelle offers much gear expertise which is vital to the successful installation and servicing of net monitoring systems. He has also been extensively trained in Canada on the installation and repair of all Notus components.

Notus Marítima will service all of Spain. Many Notus systems have been installed on vessels around the country and captains have been very impressed with Notus’s capabilities. Notus Marítima will build on this success. Notus is the third largest supplier in the world of complete net monitoring systems.

Now, more than ever, the fishing industry in Spain needs reliable technology to help reduce fuel costs and fine tune the fishing gear for optimal fishing. By monitoring parameters like doorspread, trawl warp lengths and headline height, the Trawlmaster is a proven solution to reduce fuel consumption by up to 15%. Similarly, the Seinemaster is a proven method to reduce gear damage and increase catch by monitoring the depth, sink rate and footgear location.
