Preparations are well under way for the Icelandic Fisheries Awards 2011 and companies are being encouraged to submit their nominations for these prestigious prizes.

The Awards Ceremony will be held at the beautiful Gerðarsafn Art Gallery on 22 September, the opening night of the Icelandic Fisheries Exhibition (22-24 September 2011).
For the third time the Icelandic Fisheries Awards will be jointly hosted by the Icelandic Ministry of Fisheries and Agriculture and City of Kópavogur.
The Awards are separated into Icelandic and International categories and the International Awards are as follows:
- Outstanding International Supplier Catching – small/medium company
- Outstanding International Supplier Catching – large company
- Outstanding International Processing – small/medium company
- Outstanding International Processing – large company
The following Awards categories are open to Icelandic companies only:
- Outstanding Icelandic Skipper
- Outstanding Icelandic Fleet
- Outstanding Icelandic Processor
- Outstanding Achievement
- Outstanding Icelandic Supplier Catching - small companies
- Outstanding Icelandic Supplier Catching - large Companies
- Outstanding Icelandic Supplier Processing - small companies
- Outstanding Icelandic Supplier Processing - large Companies
Open to all exhibiting companies at the event:
- Best new launched product at the show
The entry process is simple – just complete and return the form, which is available for download below, providing details of your company, or the company you wish to nominate, and the product or service together with, in no more than 750 words, a description of why the product should win the award. Where possible please enclose a photograph for use onscreen at the awards. Additional supporting information, such as press articles or testimonials from clients using the equipment, may also be sent.
