An integrated feeding software solution released late last year has seen a strong market response according to its Norwegian manufacturers.

Developed by global business AKVA group, AKVAconnect feeding system incorporates the ability to connect and integrate the feeding and camera systems and various onsite farm systems.

The software system, which launched in the Chilean market, can control multiple combinations of dosers and augers across an unlimited number of feed lines, while simultaneously controlling the feeding cameras, multiple environmental sensors and underwater lights, plus other onsite systems such as barge control or emergency oxygen systems.

The operational structure of the system renders it flexible and able to control and analyse all onsite processes

Since it hit the market, AKVAconnect has been adapted to include a web-based reporting solution called Fishtalk Feeding. The solution allows customers offsite access to detailed feeding performance data, which enables operational transparency and support for frontline feeding staff in improving feeding efficiency.
