Wet weather gear brand Stormline has designed a new range of waterproof workwear including glove-friendly zips for people working in the aquaculture and fish farming sectors.
During its research, Stormline discovered people working in fish farming and aquaculture struggle with zips that aren’t glove friendly and hate having to remove their gloves to grip their zips.
Regan McMillan, director of Stormline, said that fish farmers explained that “comfort, mobility and glove-friendly zips were high priorities for them.”
The new range, which includes the Crew 640 bib overalls and Crew 225 jacket, features robust knee pads, hoods designed to fit over a helmet, elasticated wrists for gloves and heavy duty ‘glove-friendly’ zippers.
They are also more lightweight than the brand’s existing gear, have high visibility detailing and self-weight distribution to allow the wearer a good range of motion.
“All of our gear is designed to distribute its own weight, to eliminate wearer fatigue and ensure that the wearer is comfortable, productive - and most importantly - dry, all day long,” said Mr McMillan.
He mentioned the range also includes highly resilient and durable PVC.
