The BC Salmon Farmers Association has started the new year by welcoming four new members.

The new salmon farming companies are Campbell River Netloft (Associate member), Canada Cryogenetics Services, Omega Pacific Hatchery and EuroPharma Inc. (Sustaining members) - bringing valuable additional perspectives to the BCSFA.
“Bringing together people from throughout the business is important for us to continue to build a sustainable, cohesive and progressive farm community,” said David Minato, member and community-relations co-ordinator for the BC Salmon Farmers Association.
“Our work - building the business, informing the public, innovating and progressing through co-operation - is strengthened by the addition of new members. We’re really happy to have these four new friends aboard,” said Mary Ellen Walling, executive director, BCSFA.
The BCSFA represents salmon farm companies and those who supply services and supplies to the industry. Salmon-farming provides for 6,000 direct and indirect jobs while contributing $800 million to the provincial economy each year.
