AKVA group will launch a brand new fish farming boat at the Aqua Nor tradeshow in Trondheim, Norway, this August.
The new boat is called "Polarcirkel 860 Cabin" and is developed in cooperation with the Norwegian fish farming company Nova Sea AS to provide fast and safe transportation at sea in all weather conditions. This new model is also tailor-made for use with the AkvaMarina CCS central feed systems as it will be equipped with advanced two-way data and video communication to cages, feed barge or land base.
The new hull is very fast and seaworthy and has been designed by the renowned Norwegian naval architects Amble & Stokke. The boat has a new roomy aluminum cabin with seating for 5-7 people and fully insulated. Standard equipment includes two driver's seats with air suspension and seat belts, powerful defroster and heater, roof hatch, large sliding door and windows. Built in washroom with electric flushing head, sink and pressurised h/c water is optional.
The design team have also focused on personnel safety and bio-security (easy to clean). The self bailing flush deck is now built from anti-skid aluminum plates surrounded by safety railings. The traditional high stability, quality craftsmanship together with the strength of HDPE-80 polyethylene continues also in this "Polarcirkel 860 Cabin". Combined with a professionally designed hull, the result is a very strong and seaworthy boat that requires very little maintenance. Available with either sterndrive or waterjet up to 435hp from Volvo Penta.
