Mercator Media Ltd can now confirm that due to the uncertainty surrounding the extended COVID restriction on crowd gathering in Iceland, the 4th edition of Fishwaste for Profit will now be held from 9-10 June 2022.

With the government in Iceland extending their COVID restrictions, we recognise this creates uncertainties, making planning and attending the conference difficult. Naturally, we would prefer that this was not the case, and we were anticipating that the conference would be able to go ahead. However, after consultation with our advisory board and stakeholders, we believe rescheduling to the new date in 2022 is the best decision for speakers, delegates, and people’s general safety.

We are pleased to confirm that the Smárinn, Fifan Halls Kópavogur will continue as the venue for the conference from 9-10 June 2022. The conference programme will have the same sessions and will offer attendees the chance to learn from experts and to network during breaks and a drinks reception.  Joining Fishwaste for Profit will also come with the benefit of visiting the 13th Icelandic Fisheries Exhibition for one afternoon. Thor Sigfusson, CEO of the Icelandic Ocean Cluster will continue as the conference chairman, and the majority of the speakers have already re-confirmed their participation.
