Nesco Weighing Ltd of Hull, UK, has signed an agreement with Ocean Electronics of Floro in Norway for the importation of its Wavecheetah II marine fish weighing and food grading systems into the Norwegian market.

The products will be distributed and supported by the Navy Group of companies.

Wavecheetah II can be used in all areas of fishing activities, from simple weighing of baskets of demersal fish through to e-Log recording, labelling, grading, RFID tagging, sampling of pelagic species, scientific recording and also for fish farm activities.

The Navy Group sells and services all Nesco's products on all types of fishing boats, and also provides other weighing and grading requirements within the fishing industry as well as other areas such as food processing.

Nesco said skippers and fishermen as well as food factories and fish farms will be able to obtain a very quick response all along the Norwegian coastline as the Navy Group has 23 company members.

Servicing can also be conducted in the Danish ports of Hvide Sande, Thyborøn, Hanstholm, Hirtshals and Skagen through Nesco’s agents in these locations.
