North Sea Container Line (NCL), a Norwegian fish and industrial product transportation specialist based in Haugesund, has responded to increased demand by phasing in the 677 TEU vessel Celina between western Norway and Hamburg/Bremerhaven (Germany).
This move will enable NCL to carry around 300 loaded TEU weekly. The Celina is equipped with 125 reefer plugs and has two 45-tonne cranes.
The extra vessel will be employed in the line's Hamburg/Bremerhaven service, where it will cover the important fishery ports, together with the Anna.
In addition, NCL's Rotterdam service, on which five modern container vessels are deployed, will be able to carry a large share of Norway's frozen fish exports.
The company, which has been a major player on the Norwegian west coast for 17 years, said that it covers the range from Bodo (Salten) in the north to Egersund in the south.
