Marin Teknikk (MT) has signed an agreement with an undisclosed fishing company owner for the design and engineering for a longliner fishing vessel, MT1112 L.

The vessel, which will be built with a high ice class, will mainly fish in the Antarctic for Patagonian tooth fish. She will have a length of 60.50 metres, a beam of 13 metres and accommodation for 30 crew.
The fishing vessel, hull number 1101, will be built at Tersan Shipyard and is the eighth fishing boat of MT design built at the Turkish yard. Delivery is scheduled for September 2021. The vessel will be equipped with a large autoline system and processing factory plant.
The factory plant will also be equipped to manage the rest of the raw material of the products and emphasis has also been placed on the best possible hull design and systems to achieve an environmentally friendly ship.
The vessel will operate in particularly demanding areas in the South Sea. MT has designed several other vessels, among others, for shipowner Ervik Havfiske, which operates in the same harsh environments.
