The company says that this new generation of doors is the result of cutting-edge research with flow management software in order to optimise the hydrodynamics of trawl doors. They have been validated by several trials in the flume tank and at sea.

The new door generation presents a foil opening which is wider at the front. The three flow entrances give the doors a large spread, due to the width difference in and out.

Morgère says that benefits of the partition in three flows include:

  • High stability in any condition
  • Easy to shoot V profile
  • Keeping spread even turning
  • Keeping efficiency even reducing speed
  • Keeping spread in shallow water

Morgère is offering the oval shape VO3 for bad grounds and the rectangular PV3 for normal or muddy grounds.
