Masto Wire-Service AS of Kristiansand S Norway is the maker of the well known Masto high-pressure wire rope lubricator.
The lubricator is forcing thick soft lubricant straight into the core of all wire rope constructions, and in the same operation it is also cleaning the wire rope by forcing out all water, old lubricant and dirt.
Customers worldwide both in the marine and industrial sector have experienced extremely extended wire rope life between 50-100%.
The lubricator is very easy to operate, easy to handle and light in weight.
A test by the fishery institute Rivo from Amsterdam showed 100% increased wire rope life. The test was carried out on the trawler UK 59.
Masto is great time saving, the rope can be pulled trough the lubricator with a speed up to 50 m per minute.
The complete Masto unit consist of the lubricator chamber and pump.
Inside the lubricator it is used different seals for each different wire rope diameter to keep the high pressure in the lubricator.
Masto is very easy to use for trawler ropes and it is possible to lubricate two trawler ropes simultaneously. Masto will be displayed in the exhibition Icelandic Fisheries at stand no P-119.
Lubrication by hand on the rope surface only is useless. Internal lubrication and internal cleaning of wire rope is the only effective way of wire rope maintenance.
