At this year’s Seafood Processing Europe exhibition, Marel will be conducting live demonstrations of a selection of its innovative concepts and individual equipment at Stand 6227, Hall 4.
Superchilled fish: Visitors will have the opportunity to experience a live demonstration of superchilling, an innovative process that allows for the core of the fish to be cooled without freezing the surface. The skin becomes firmer and there is very little damage to the fillets when they pass through the skinning machines. The outcome is a much more attractive product with greatly increased primary product ratio and shelf-life extended by at least two days.
Join Marel for superchilled drinks, directly from the Marel SuperChiller, during happy hour at 4pm each day of the exhibition!
Salmon processing: Marel will demonstrate its latest equipment for filleting and pin bone removal equipment, as well its concept for intelligent portioningand automatic loading of pre-defined fixed-weight batches into trays. Demonstrations include the new fixed-weight salmon slicer, the GEBA SC125V, and the GEBA SC 250 D-cut slicer, the fastest slicer for fresh smoked salmon on the market.
Weighing, grading and batching: Visitors to Marel’s stand will see a wide range of proven applications to fulfil most seafood processors’ needs. For end of line processing, the company will demonstrate its latest weigh price labellers, including the new OCM 9500 for heavy products, which automatically weighs, prices and labels boxes or crates at speeds of up to 40/min.
Freezing: Marel will display the Marel IQF spiral freezer, which operates on the vertical airflow principle. The IQF spiral significantly reduces energy consumption, results in less dehydration and equal temperature of products, and provides interconnectivity with SCADA and Innova.
Low-pressure forming: The revolutionary RevoPortioner ensures consistent high quality portioning of fish products (whole muscle mass and dough mass) at low pressure. The structure and texture of the raw material is perfectly retained and the final products always have the same shape, weight and size, and uniform quality.
Innova software: Marel invites guests to visit the Innova “control room” where the company will display simulations of various applications from the production floor.
