Loch Duart, the salmon farm based in Sutherland and the Uists, has appointed a new managing director.

Mark Warrington was previously operations director and takes over from interim managing director, Simon Maguire, who has provided cover in this role since late last year.
“I am proud to be managing director of Loch Duart,” said Mark. “Having spent the last six years immersed in the communities of Sutherland and the Uists, I believe I bring a real understanding of the people and the farming techniques which have made this company great.
“During this difficult time we’re focused on caring for our people, our salmon, our customers and our communities. We intend to come through this challenge a better, stronger company,” he added.
Mark has been responsible for production at Loch Duart since 2015 and has worked across the salmon industry for more than 30 years in various sales, processing and farming roles.
