Tersan Shipyard has launched an LNG powered live fish carrier which is under construction for Nordlaks, Norway.

The NB1088 vessel, which is to be named Bjorg Pauline, is the biggest live fish carrier vessel that Tersan Shipyard has built so far.
“From today we congratulate Nordlaks for this important new building project which will serve for their ground-breaking developed Offshore fish farm,” said Sakir Erdogan, sales and marketing director of Tersan. We feel really excited and eager for the successful delivery of these two sister LNG live fish carriers.
The 84m by 19m vessel is also unique among live fish carriers owing to her LNG propulsion system with its two deck tanks and four fuel conditioning systems.
Designed by NSK Ship Design and built under the supervision of DNV GL, this live fish carrier is said to be one of the most efficient and advanced vessel of its type. A second LNG live fish carrier from the series is also under construction at Tersan Shipyard and planned to be launched in 2020.
