Fishing and aquaculture equipment developer Vónin P/F has finalised the takeover of Mørenot Scotland, with the business renamed Vónin UK Ltd and now trading as Vónin Scotland.

According to the Faroese-headquartered company, the move is a “significant boost” to its strong presence in the Scottish aquaculture market and “underscores its deep commitment” to the industry.
With operations in Scalloway in Shetland and Scalpay on the Hebrides, Vónin Scotland has a dedicated team of 28 employees. It specialises in manufacturing and servicing nets and moorings for aquaculture.
“This takeover marks a landmark moment in our history. We have steadily grown our presence in Scotland, emerging as a key supplier in the local aquaculture industry. With Vónin Scotland, we’re not just consolidating our position but also gearing up to bring even more innovation and excellence to the market,” Vónin CEO Hjalmar Petersen said.
Vónin Scotland Managing Director David Goodlad said that becoming part of Vónin “opens fantastic new opportunities” for the business.
“The combination of Vónin’s strong market reputation and our local know-how is a powerful one. We’re looking forward to an exciting future and achieving great things together,” he said.
