Spanish Deck Equipment manufacturer Ibercisa, based in Vigo, has just supplied one special Split Trawl Winch to Greenland fishing company Royal Greenland for its vessel Sisimuit, to allow her to work with twin trawl nets by stern.
This third winch model MAI-E/370/3400-30/IS has the gear box PTO towards stern and offers a nominal pull of 40t, with a stall pull of 60t, being its wire drum capacity 3.400 m. Ø 30 mm.
The electric driven system for this winch was choosen due to its high efficiency in relation to the two existing on board, which are hydraulic low pressure Split Winches, in order to obtain the maximum possible line pull in relation to the available power for this purpose, which was approximately 400 HP.
The dc electric motor, the thiristors unit and the ATW -- Automatic Trawling System - was supplied by Naust Marine Ibercisa's Icelandicbased partner."
