Visitors to Marel’s Salmon ShowHow on 11 February will have the chance to attend focus sessions and workshops by salmon processing and industry experts.
This year, demonstrations will be running all day, a guest speaker will discuss the Global Salmon Industry Outlook, and four workshops will focus on how processors can optimise various aspects of their daily operations – from turning trims into innovative new products, to minimising the size of recalls.
Gorjan Nikolik, a senior industry analyst for food and agribusiness at Rabobank International, has been announced as this year’s guest speaker for the second time. Nikolik will discuss the near to midterm expectations for the global salmon industry, providing an insight into how the salmon industry will develop in coming years, and what this will mean for processing opportunities.
Workshops at the Salmon ShowHow include: Automating Primary Processing; Adding Value to Your Trims; Improving Performance with Overall Equipment Effectiveness; and Meeting the Traceability Challenge.
