With environmental issues around fish farming under ever increasing inspection, aquaculture veteran Stewart Graham will be making the case for one potential solution – semi-closed containment – at IceFish 2026.

The owner and CEO of the successful Gael Force Group, Stewart has been part of many sector development initiatives, including co-leading an initiative in Scotland to develop an all-stakeholder Vision 2030 sector plan for the sustainable growth of the aquaculture industry, and sits on the board of Salmon Scotland.
He is also the founder of a new company, SeaQureFarming Group, which is installing the first SeaQureWell™ semi-closed containment system. Designed to deliver improved fish health, reduced sea mammal predation, and prevent seabed depositions and reduce emissions, SeaQureWell features an impermeable membrane.
“IceFish 2026 is a great place to have an honest conversation about scaling aquaculture responsibly’” said Stewart. “At Aquaculture – Driving Sustainable Growth, I’ll share our perspective on why semi-closed containment plays a key part in our sector’s quest for an ever more economic, efficient, sustainable, and environmentally friendly way to farm fish.”
Stewart will be speaking on 22 September as part of the one-day Aquaculture – Driving Sustainable Growth Conference, part of IceFish 2026 – the Icelandic Fisheries & Aquaculture Exhibition & Conferences – from 22-24 September in Iceland.
