The Welsh government has pledged £1 million to help boost the marine, fisheries and aquaculture industries.
The support comes from the Welsh Marine and Fisheries Scheme, which aims to drive sustainable growth in the sector and help coastal communities prosper.

“The Welsh Marine and Fisheries Scheme offers funding for a broad range of actions which can be vital in helping businesses to take advantage of opportunities and grow,” said Rural Affairs Minister Lesley Griffiths.
Grants range from £500 to £100,000 and relate to a wide range of activities spanning 11 separate categories.
These could include initiatives to help increase the potential of fish farms, emission-reduction and energy-saving equipment on vessels, health and safety research, or professional advice for businesses on topics such as sustainability or marketing.
The application window closes on 10 May and successful applicants will be notified during July. More details can be found on the Welsh government’s website.
