The 50.50 metre,12.60 metre breadth Rus has been built for Far East fishing company Antey. Construction began on the 03070 project vessel in March 2018 and sea trials took place earlier this month ahead of the Vladivostok-registered crabber being handed over to its owners for the long delivery trip to the Far East.

Rus has a 1200kW Wärtsilä 6L20 main engine, enabling a 12-knot service speed and the vessel has a 30-days endurance. Accommodation is for a crew of up to 28.

Designed to operate on Kamchatka, opilio, blue and other crab species using Japanese-style cone traps, Rus has a 461 cubic metre RSW capacity with tanks fitted with banks of cages for keeping catches in prime condition. Rus has a 30 cubic metre refrigerated bait store.

The Pella Shipyard is currently constructing two more 03070 design crab catchers for Ostronoy-Crab, also being built under the investment quotas programme.
