IFFO: Q1 global fishmeal, fish oil production rises

Total fishmeal production for January to March 2025 increased by approximately 29%, while fish oil output jumped 34%

Total fishmeal production for the first-quarter 2025 increased by approximately 29% compared to the same period of 2024, according to the latest analysis from marine ingredients organisation IFFO. This increase, it said, was primarily influenced by a significant uptick in Peru, while Chile, the US, Spain and African countries also reported a positive performance compared to January-March 2024.
