Aucxis believes its cloud-based digital trading platform can help relieve the UK fishing industry of the significant burden of additional export paperwork now needed following Brexit.

KOSMOS eases the processing of supply, organises the sale within fish auctions and digitises the detailed administration and reporting requested by auction customers, suppliers, buyers, fish and sea products exporters, local authorities and producer organisations.

Data such as sort and size of fish or lots, fishing vessel's name and ID, the date and time at which fish was caught, landed and sold is stored on the KOSMOS platform and accessible to the users. Links can easily be made with the electronic logbook of each fishing vessel, as well as with a back-office or enterprise resource planning package. The sale of the products can be organised on the platform through one or several auction clocks.

After-sales processes are also covered. The user can create reports and statistics based on the saved transaction and supply data which can then be exported to authorities or third parties to support with the EU import process.

Aucxis has already digitised 65 fish markets and is now working with the UK fish markets such as Brixham Trawler Agents, Shetland Seafood Auction, Plymouth Trawler Agents and Newlyn Fish Market.
