The DanFish International exhibition is back and ready for action.

COVID-19 inevitably put a stop to industry events, but the fishing industry is making moves to meet face-to-face again, and Denmark has now lifted its pandemic restrictions, giving DanFish 2021 the green light.

"We are very much looking forward to DanFish International 2021, and we are excited about it being a live in-person exhibition where stakeholders and professionals from the commercial fisheries industry can meet, engage and network with each other," said Martin Winkel Lilleøre, head of  Fish Tech at the Danish Export Association, which is bringing more than 90 companies to the Pavilion of Denmark.

"People are longing to meet in-person again, and with covid restrictions lifted entirely in Denmark, we hope to welcome a large amount of European visitors to DanFish International."

Over 300 exhibitors

This year DanFish has attracted more than 300 exhibitors from 23 countries, the majority of them from the Northern Europe region.

From 13-15 October, exhibitors will present the latest nets, trawls, cables, wires, motors and electronics, as well as navigation, communication, storage, processing and rescue equipment.

The Danish city of Aalborg, which hosts DanFish International every two years, is ideally located close to the North Atlantic and some of Europe’s key fishing and industry regions.

The region around Aalborg includes some of Denmark’s key fishing ports and is where much of the country’s fishing technology sector is located, as well as being home to leading shipbuilder, Karstensens Shipyard.
