Protix, a global leader in insect-based ingredients, has named Maiko van der Meer as its new chief executive with effect from November 2025.

Van der Meer brings nearly 30 years of leadership experience from major international food and feed companies including Unilever, Mowi, Vion Food Group, Klaas Puul, Storteboom Food Group and Tyson Foods.
