Roy-Tore Rikardsen has stepped down as CEO of Kaldvík

Aspehaug, who joined Kaldvík in 2022, brings deep expertise in fish health and quality management. He holds a doctorate in fish health from the University of Bergen and is the founder and former chief executive of fish health laboratory, PatoGen.

“We are grateful for Roy-Tore’s contribution to the company in the transitional period following the resignation of the former CEO and founder,” said Asle Rønning, chair of the board.

Rikardsen expressed optimism about the company’s future. “I have been privileged to work with fantastic colleagues in Kaldvík, and both the company and the industry will have a great future in Icelandic business life in the coming years,” he said.

Rikardsen will remain available to the company until February 2026 to support a smooth leadership transition.
