The Aucxis weighing and input station has been a well-known link in the automated trading process of fish auctions for many years.

The input terminal

The input terminal

Fish boxes are put on an electronic balance, while the supply data is inputted on an integrated touch screen that is protected by a solid glass panel. The input process is very user-friendly and even possible when wearing gloves, as the application buttons are very large. The entered data is transmitted through a radiographic connection to the central server, where it is integrated into the sales catalogue. The board electronics – keyboard, computer and label printer for example – are built up from industrial components. Furthermore, the station has a durable and spray proof frame of stainless steel and aluminium, which makes it very suitable to use in the most aggressive environments.

Semi-mobile version

Aucxis recently developed a semi-mobile version on batteries that operates completely autonomously. The station is put on the floor, close to the supplied products, by means of a forklift. The station has a chassis that was especially designed for this purpose. This new version has two inclined planes as an extension to the weighing platform, allowing fish boxes – individually or stacked – to be pulled onto the balance by using a hook. These inclined planes are folded in when the station is transported.

Mobile version

The second model, the mobile station, is very appropriate if only one case is to be registered per weighing. The concept is identical to the semi-mobile one, but its construction is more compact and doesn’t have to be moved with a fork lift thanks to its solid chassis with castor wheels. This new station type is also perfectly usable when combined with transpallets that have an integrated balance, offering the advantage of one less operation during the weighing process.
