A strong aquaculture membership makes the Workboat Association an ideal new supporter of the 2026 IceFish.

The Association is the UK trade, skills and safety standards association for workboats across the sea-going commercial vessel industry.

With a membership of around 300 UK and European workboat owners, operators, stakeholders and professionals, collectively representing around 2,000 vessels and approximately 8,000 personnel, the Association acts as a crucial point of liaison with key regulatory and industry bodies.

Since its creation in 1994, it has driven the creation of safety, technical and best practice training standards, provided a unifying platform for industry lobbying and debate, and delivered industry-recognised training and certification opportunities.

“The Workboat Association is proud to support Ice Fish, a showcase that consistently brings together the very best of the North Atlantic’s Fishing and Aquaculture capability,” said Workboat Association chief executive, Kerrie Forster.

“Events like this strengthen the connections between operators, shipyards, equipment suppliers and regulators, helping our sector share innovation, improve safety and build a more sustainable future for small commercial and fishing vessel operations.

“Ice Fish plays an important role in keeping our industry collaborative and forward‑thinking, and as a trade association representing over 400 aquaculture vessels. We are proud to be a supporter of the event.”
