SalMar’s Chief Financial Officer, Gunnar Nielsen, has resigned from his position, the salmon farming group has confirmed. Nielsen only joined SalMar in April this year.

In a company statement, SalMar advised that it has with regret accepted Nielsen’s decision and will promptly start the process of recruiting his replacement.
Nielsen will stay with the company until the end of 2022.
“SalMar wishes to thank Nielsen for his efforts and valuable contributions as part of the top management during the period he has been in the company,” said CEO Linda Litlekalsøy Aase.
SalMar has farming operations in central Norway, northern Norway, and Iceland, as well as harvesting and secondary processing operations in Norway, at InnovaMar in Frøya, InnovaNor in Senja, and Vikenco in Aukra. It also has offshore aquaculture operations through its company SalMar Aker Ocean, and owns 50% of the shares in Scottish Sea Farms Ltd.
