Arnarlax, one of Iceland’s largest producers of farmed Atlantic salmon, has selected business management software provider Wisefish to support its sales and logistics operations, as the country’s aquaculture sector increasingly turns to digital tools to improve oversight and coordination across complex value chains.

The agreement will see Arnarlax implement Wisefish’s integrated sales and logistics solution, designed to improve visibility and automation from harvest through processing, logistics and final sale. The system is intended to strengthen coordination between operational and commercial teams in an industry where timing, data accuracy and transparency are critical.

Arnarlax Chief Sales Officer Linda Gunnlaugsdóttir said the decision reflects the growing importance of real-time data in managing fresh salmon production. “When farming and selling fresh salmon, efficiency and transparency are essential,” she said. “Having reliable, real-time access to reliable operational data is critical for sales and logistics.

“Wisefish stood out because it allows us to bring multiple processes together in one system, giving us clearer insight into farming and harvesting and enabling a more coordinated operation in a fast-moving sales environment.”

Wisefish Chief Executive Yngvi Halldórsson said this implementation highlights the growing role of integrated systems in supporting efficiency and data-driven decision-making in the Icelandic aquaculture sector. He added that the scale and operational complexity of Arnarlax make this a strong fit.

“We look forward to working closely with their team,” he said.
