Tucal has informed WF that the company closed 2010 with a very positive balance of its activity, having carried out interesting projects for marine and on-shore applications.
These projects included supplying a series of Russian type vertical plate freezers (with horizontal hinged dividers and other special characteristics) for a Lithuanian shipowner, which are to be commissioned by a Tucal engineer at the beginning of this year; the turnkey installation of IQF equipment for a Spanish fish farm, which has been recently completed; the turnkey installation with horizontal plate freezing for cephalopods in Mauritania; and many other freezers (horizontal, vertical and IQF type) supplied to customers mainly in Europe, South America and North Africa for many diverse applications.
The company has also been very active in air conditioning, with the design, manufacturing and installation of the complete refrigeration and air conditioning installations of H.J. Barreras Shipyard’s 1666 and 1667 constructions.
The company tells WF that one of the most remarkable results of 2010 is the growing importance of turnkey projects. Tucal has a technical department qualified to study made-to-measure projects. The equipment is built in Tucal’s factory in La Coruña, Spain, and the company’s aim is to try to simplify the transportation and assembling at destination, aiming to guarantee perfect functioning with easy, fast and secure assembly and start-up on site. Tucal has a team of experienced installers who can do this anywhere in the world.
